To prevent the teams from accessing the videos stored on the MVS unit or changing the MVS configuration you will need to LOCK OUT the MVS units.

 

This is done via the profile screen.

 

 

The Check box needs to be Ticked, you then set the date and the time the MVS unit will unlock.

 

In the example shown, if the MVS unit is powered up after the 19:30 on the 1st January 2009 then the MVS unit will Unlock itself. If the MVS unit is started up prior to this date, only the DSO will be able to access the videos on the unit or change the configuration.

 

Once the profile has been updated it needs to be included in the Manifest directory. During the CLONE process the profile will be updated and on the next reboot the MVS will be locked to all bar the Administration PC.

 

The Date area of the Lock Function is Grayed on PCs that are not configured as an administrator.
