The MVS Update tool can only be accessed when the MVS is connected to your PC via USB.

 

There are 2 files that from time to time that may need to be updated,

 

They are:

       DSP Firmware

       Supervisor Firmware.

 

The DSP firmware and Supervisor Firmware are stored in the internal memory of the MVS. When new versions are available, you will be able to download these from the Xeetec website

 

For Each Race meeting you will need to update the MVS profile in use, the main change being made to this profile is to enable lock out.

 

 

To update any of these files you will select Browse,

 

this will provide you with open dialogue, navigate to the directory where you have placed the downloaded file.

 

 

Select the file and Click on  open. you will then be returned to the MVS update screen.

 

Now Click UPDATE. The new software / profile is now on the Internal Compact flash of the MVS. The update will also be copied to the manifest directory

 

Repeat this for each of the items you wish to update.

 

To activate the Software Upgrade, unplug the USB cable from the MVS unit. The update process can take up to one minute to complete. During this time the LED on the MVS unit will blink rapidly. Once the update process has been completed the MVS will Return to a ready state, it is advisable at this time to Power cycle (turn off and On) the MVS.

 

The Time and Date of the MVS is updated when ever the MVS profile is updated on the MVS.
